Steve Ankerstar is the Founder and CEO of Ankerstar Wealth, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor with the Securities and Exchange Commission specializing in fee-only financial planning and wealth management. A retired U.S. Air Force officer and former stealth fighter pilot, Steve established the firm in 2013 (originally as Afterburner Financial) to address the need for affordable, professional investment strategies tailored to the upper-middle class. Under his leadership, Ankerstar Wealth rebranded in 2021 and now serves clients nationwide, emphasizing fiduciary duty, personalized strategies over products, and a keen focus on mitigating the impacts of taxes, fees, and limited diversification on long-term returns. Steve holds the CFP® designation and manages innovative portfolios like Bitcoin Alpha, Quantum Xtreme, and Xtreme Humanoid on the Autopilot app, blending high-conviction themes in digital assets, quantum computing, and humanoid robotics. His military background instills a disciplined approach to investing, rooted in rigorous thesis development and unwavering conviction. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University and three Masters Degrees in Business, National Security and Airpower Science. He holds his Series 65 license and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, a standard recognized internationally.
